WEB SUMMIT 2024: Our Lisbon Experience


Last week, I had the amazing opportunity to attend the world’s largest tech conference, where the brightest minds in technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship come together. From visionary investors to groundbreaking startups, it was a whirlwind of ideas, networking, and new possibilities.

Discovering Innovative Startups and Cutting-Edge Ideas

Web Summit is one of the largest tech events globally, and it’s buzzing with startups, investors, and thought leaders from all over the world. But it’s not just about tech—it's about the people behind the ideas. Today, we’ll take a quick tour of the event, chat with some brilliant minds, and find out what’s driving the business world right now.

I had the chance to meet with companies across different industries, but a few really stood out to me.
For instance, I came across a med-tech startup focused on early diagnosis—a game-changing innovation that could revolutionize the healthcare sector by detecting diseases before they even show symptoms. Another fascinating company was developing video solutions tailored specifically for businesses, helping them engage customers in more interactive and meaningful ways.

Networking with Visionary Investors

Web Summit isn’t just for startups; it’s also a place where investors and entrepreneurs can connect. Throughout the event, I had the privilege of meeting investors actively seeking new opportunities and startups looking to scale. It was an invaluable experience to exchange ideas with people who are passionate about bringing the next big thing to life.

Exploring Key Areas: Investor Lounge and Startup Lounge

The conference was organized into several vibrant spaces, each designed to foster collaboration and innovation. I spent a lot of time in the Investor Lounge, where I could hear from some of the brightest minds in venture capital and connect with potential investors. The Startup Lounge was another key area, where I met emerging businesses showcasing their products and technologies. The networking spaces were buzzing with like-minded people, all eager to share their experiences and form new partnerships.

DreamLife World: Our New Digital Platform

As part of the event, I also had the opportunity to talk about my own startup, DreamLife World, a digital platform designed to help experts relocate and adapt seamlessly to new countries. We’re on a mission to simplify the process of moving abroad, whether it’s for work, family, or new opportunities. Web Summit was the perfect stage to showcase our platform, meet potential partners, and get feedback from other entrepreneurs and investors.
